Okay, Finally! The existing concrete floor has been completely removed. So did a big, steel I-Beam. I still cannot believe the crew came out on Memorial Day!! Here are some pics from today:
This is our new project. The carriage house requires a ton of work and should be on TV :) It is really cool.

Water Tank is Gone!
Yesterday the guys cut out the water tank that was on the 3rd floor. However, it turned out to have a concrete base. That is getting removed today via jackhammer. The Master Suite is all demo'd and cleaned out.. The footings get dug out tomorrow to lay down insulation. Roofer also comes out tomorrow. I believe that today the columns , from front porch, get removed to to be restored. I am not sure on that one. We have other colulmn pieces that we may use instead. Either way, paint will need to be stripped and sanded.
The Well guy is coming out today or tomorrow to start running lines from pump to house. As soon as he is done, OPPD will come out and run power lines. We are also having the septic guy and the plumber out next week. We have a 2nd Concrete guy coming out next week to bust out and remove the remain concrete on the main level. Things are in motion. The plan is 4 more months till we move in.
Water Tank pieces out in yard.

1 Week Later
Well, we go a lot done so far. We had 3 rooms on main level, now have 2. The'great' room will have living, kitchen and dining area. Still need to knock down the chimney and some beams.
Also got kid's shower. Don't know when their bathroom will get built though :). The master suite is still being demo'd

The Parlor is really coming along. It will be the Living Room, Half Bath and Mud Room.
Nature was 'taking over' the outside of house. We started to re-claim it while getting the porch ready for reconstruction.

Floors are OUT
Well, I had Suzy, my wife, take some pics this morning to capture yesterday's progress. Unfortunately, she swept the floor before taking pictures... hmm...ya..anyways.. pics did not turn out due to the dust.
We got the wood floors are torn up and out to the dump today. We are saving a lot of lumber for the kids to build a tree house. The one wall, that will be torn down, is all prepped and ready to be demo'd by the contractor's demo crew. I will try to get some usable pics tomorrow.
I did get a request to see some pics of the house with more of the lot with it so here ya go:

Middle Room Almost Done
Walls down to brick and the one wall that will come out is 1/4 way the down. Floor boards are starting to come up . As much as I like the vines on the front of the house, I had to start pulling them down today. We need to get everything ready for the 'brick guy'.
Concrete guy, John, stopped by to go over some details as well. All is moving along fine.
