Chandelier

We had a chandelier stored in the barn for most of the year. Finally got hung. It looks great!

I broke a globe but think it is fixed now.

The Stove Restoration

In the Winter 2017, we finally got our wood burning stove installed. That was a project!!

We had two old stoves in the barn. Suzy picked one and I got busy restoring it.

BEFORE PIC AFTER PIC

We love the "new" stove! Burned lots of wood so far :)

2017

Well, no updates in forever now. Sorry. We've been pretty busy working on the house/property. I'd love to go out and take pics but it is cold, wet, and we still have snow on the ground. So here are some older pics

Back in April, Suzy got busy landscaping.

We had a bunch of bricks out in the woods. Suzy hauled all up and started on the new patio. It's not done yet but coming along nicely.

Then we got part of the carriage door hung up to use as a sliding door.

At that time we finally got our backsplash installed in the kitchen.

We sold the green 'farm truck' and got a red one. Suzy and I got new(used) cars. I got rid of the broken down tractors and bought a brand new one. We finally got the frieze board wrapped in vinyl. I think that takes us up to the Fall. Halloween here looks like this:

2016

Not too much happened this year :)

We got some new furniture for the family room

The old is now upstairs

Made a big sand lot for the swimming pool (temp)

I cleaned up the West Woods a lot! Then started on the North Woods. Suzy cleaned up the existing landscaping. Suzy re-decorated the house a little and organized the barn. I sent a lot of time working on lawn tractors and the go-kart.
We got an old green 'farm truck.' Best of all, we got a new dog, Benny!

New Stuff

Well my Father in law and co. built us a deck using some recycled boards that we tore out of the house during the demo. Now just to sand and seal. Then he finished up the front walkway for us by cutting all the stone to fit nicely. Then came over and built a stair for the Portico door. We are trying to decide whether or not we stain it or paint is white to match the trim.

Well House

Here are some exterior close ups of the old well house. We will be 'giving it some love' this Summer.

Working on the Alley

First it had to be re-graded for water flow. Then Suzy got busy. We used recycled brick from the house demo.
