The Attic Con't

Day 3

Making Progress!! More sub floor and framing.

The ATTIC con't

Day 2

Nice Start!  They did some cleaning, started on the new sub-floor and framing.

The Attic Re-Start

Our 2019 Project is THE ATTIC

Last year we had stairs put in. This so we could build a bedroom up there for our teenage son. We currently have 3 boys sharing a room.  However, I lost my job at the end of March and we had to stop. Almost a year later, we are back at. Our ceiling has been ripped open this whole time with boards and insulation covering the hole. Not the best situation but we managed.

Day one.
This was actually several days but it was pre-planning. We had several people look at the attic to get feedback and some bids.

New Pool Location Part 2

As Suzy started to back fill with sand, I built a platform to attach to pool ladder to.

The next day, Father's Day, Suzy finished with sand and started to top it with dirt to prepare for landscaping.

UPDATE..
It's Feb 2018. I see I never finished the pool post. Oops!

Pool needs some landscaping still but kids love it :) We are keeping the pool up. We usually take it down every Fall.  It currently is 2/3 full and was winterized. We are just keeping our fingers crossed that the cold temps don't destroy it.

New Pool Location

Suzy wanted to pool moved and buried. I did not. So far, it has been a nightmare. Rain is not our friend for this project.

Round One:

We actually had pool up and started to fill it. Then Suzy said the hole was not deep enough. Ugh, I just got all the roots cleaned up and burned. Off to the next round.

Round Two:

The hole is deep now. However, before we could finish, a storm came in and flooded the hole. Yesterday, I pump out the rainwater so it could dry faster. It has been out in the sun for hours now.
Back to digging :)

Round Three:

Foam leveled, pool up (and filling), and a moisture barrier for the metal posts. Still more to do.

The Pretty Bathroom

We have not been able to work on the kids bathroom yet and it NEEDS work. However, my 6-year old daughter had enough. She told her mom it needed to look better. Now it is the 'Pretty Bathroom.' Surprisingly, they boys like it.

BEFORE:

This is way before, we added some thing afterwards but it apparently was worth photographing :)

AFTER: (Art work provided by Leah. Mom spruced it up a bit )

Stairs

Well, we FINALLY got steps put in to get to the attic. They still need to be trimmed but we'll get to all that soon. The dormer needs to be framed to meet modern day code and then dry walled.
